BuildLab builds web apps from a one-line description with AI. This policy explains what we collect, why, who processes it for us, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- Your account: from GitHub, your email address, username, name and avatar.
- If you request an invite: your email address and, if you add it, what you'd build. We use it only to decide on and send invites, and delete it on request.
- What you put into BuildLab: the line describing your app, backlog items, comments on docs, and messages to the director.
- What the director makes for you: code and docs, which live in your own GitHub repository, and the backlog and growth steps BuildLab keeps for your project.
- Reports and requests people send through your app's public page, and an email address only if they choose to leave one.
- Basic records of use: the director's work, what its AI cost, and errors, so we can run the service and enforce monthly limits.
How we use it
- To run BuildLab for you: the director reads your project's code and docs to do the work you ask for.
- To keep your space private: your projects are visible only to your account, apart from the public page you choose to keep on. Administrators can see who has an account and how much it has spent, not its projects.
- To sign you in and to tell you about your invite.
We don't sell your information, use it for advertising, or use your projects to train AI models.
Who processes it for us
- Anthropic (Claude): the director sends the relevant parts of your project to Anthropic's API to do its work. Anthropic doesn't train its models on API data.
- Supabase: our database and sign-in.
- Vercel: hosting for BuildLab and for the apps you put live.
- E2B: the sandboxes where your app runs while it's being built.
- GitHub: sign-in, and the repository that holds your project's code and docs.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data while your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we'll delete what BuildLab keeps for your projects within 30 days, except records we must keep for billing or legal reasons. You can also ask for a copy of your data.
Children
BuildLab is for adults. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email or in BuildLab before it takes effect.
